PU polyurethane roller has been widely used because its bearing capacity and wear resistance are significantly better than those made of other soft materials, and it has the advantages of lightness. However, when PU polyurethane roller is running at high speed, the temperature of polyurethane layer will rise due to the heat generated in polyurethane layer. The higher the temperature rise, the faster the aging speed of polyurethane material and the shorter the service life of PU polyurethane roller.
PU polyurethane is oil-resistant, ozone-resistant, aging-resistant, radiation-resistant, low-temperature-resistant, good in sound transmission, strong in adhesion, good in biocompatibility and blood compatibility. These advantages are the reasons why polyurethane elastomer is widely used in military industry, aerospace, acoustics, biology and other fields.
When polyurethane roller works, there are three ways of endogenous heat dissipation of polyurethane layer: first, when polyurethane roller is in contact with the surface of walking track, heat dissipation is conducted; Second, the surface of polyurethane layer and air dissipate heat by convection; Third, the polyurethane layer and the wheel core dissipate heat by conduction. Among the three heat dissipation methods, the heat dissipation rate of the first and third conduction heat dissipation methods is higher than that of the two convection heat dissipation methods. In one heat dissipation mode, the contact area between the polyurethane layer and the track surface is very small, while in the third heat dissipation mode, the polyurethane layer is completely in contact with the outer circumferential surface of the wheel core, and because the metal material of the wheel core is a good conductor of heat, the endogenous heat of the polyurethane layer is more easily conducted to the wheel core.
